VoxAlert on the NSW Relationships Register Bill 2010 ( 2 May 10)
Document access: Public, Guest, Subscriber, Member Help defend marriage. Until now marriage - the union of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others, voluntarily entered into for life - has been the only couple relationship that could be registered under New South Wales law. The reason for this unique treatment of marriage is that: (a) only marriage provides the best environment for raising children - stability plus complementary male and female role models (Mum and Dad); (b) men and women complement each other in marriage - benefiting each other and society.

Do you want the Equal Opportunity Commissioner investigating your church or school? ( 6 Apr 10)
Document access: Public, Guest, Subscriber, Member The Equal Opportunity Bill 2010 was crunched through the Victorian Legislative Assembly on 25 March 2010, just 15 days after it was introduced by Attorney Rob Hulls. The Bill could be debated in the Legislative Council anytime after parliament resumes on 13 April 2010. If passed, the Bill would empower the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission to launch an investigation into any organisation - including your local church, Christian school or other Christian ministry - even if it has never received a complaint about the organisation from anyone.

Open Letter to Western Australia Premier Colin Barnett (11 Mar 10)
Document access: Public, Guest, Subscriber, Member Open Letter to Western Australia Premier Colin Barnett Please get tougher on child pornography. I welcome the move to give children stronger protection through the introduction of the Child Exploitation Material and Class ification Legislation Amendment Bill 2009 . Particularly welcome is the proposed prohibition of a wider range of material involving the exploitation of children, child pornography and cruelty to children. However, the Bill could be significant ly improved by making two changes.
