FamilyVoice Australia is led by a dedicated team including National President Dr David Phillips, Research Officer Mrs Roslyn Phillips, National Policy Officer Mr Richard Egan, Queensland State Officer Mr Geoffrey Bullock, South Australian State Officer Mr David d'Lima, Victorian State Officer Pastor Peter Stevens and Western Australian State Officer Pastor Lance Macormic.  Administrative support is ably provided by National Administrator Rob Nobel, Office Secretary Alexandra Carman and Assistant Secretary Gail Newman.


 

 


Dr David Phillips
National President

 

Dr David Phillips is National President of FamilyVoice Australia (formerly Festival of Light Australia) and served as Chairman of Festival of Light in South Australia in a voluntary capacity from 1975 to 2006. He concluded his previous scientific career in 2001 as a Principal Research Scientist with the Commonwealth Government. He and his wife Roslyn have four adult children and twelve grandchildren.

He graduated from Sydney University with a BSc(Hons), from New England University with a PhD, and from the Australian College of Theology with a ThA. In the Anglican Church, he has served as a youth leader, lay preacher and synod representative.

He has made numerous submissions to inquiries on such subjects as marriage and divorce, parents and their children, media standards, drugs and prostitution. He is motivated by his faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

 


Mrs Roslyn Phillips
Research Officer

Mrs Roslyn Phillips works voluntarily as Research Officer with FamilyVoice Australia (formerly Festival of Light Australia). She was Deputy Chairman of the first Festival of Light committee in Australia in 1973. She married David in 1965 and they have four adult children and twelve grandchildren.

She graduated from Sydney University with a BSc and DipEd, has taught in NSW and SA high schools, and is currently a registered teacher in SA. She has taught Sunday School in Anglican churches and currently helps with a church music program.

Roslyn is co-editor of the national magazine VoxPoint (formerly Light) which has won six awards from the Australasian Religious Press Association. She has presented papers at conferences and is author of many resource papers and submissions to inquiries on a wide range of life and family issues.

   

 


Mr David d'Lima 
State Officer
South Australia

 

Mr David d'Lima, JP, serves full-time as State Officer of FamilyVoice Australia in South Australia and is a member of the National Executive. He married Debra in 1990 and they have three children.

David graduated from Flinders University with a BTh and from Adelaide University with a Dip Ed. He has worked extensively with young offenders, taught in a Christian primary school, and is currently a registered teacher in SA.

Through deputations over recent years, he has spoken to hundreds of churches and other groups in South Australia and Queensland seeking to equip God's people for ministry as salt and light to the world.

 

Mr Geoffrey Bullock
State Officer Queensland

 

Mr Geoffrey Bullock, C Dec, is the State Officer of FamilyVoice Australia in Queensland. Geoffrey gained a ThL from the Australian College of Theology and has served extensively in Christian ministry in NSW and Queensland, including teaching religious instruction in schools and with the Cornerstone Community.

Geoffrey and his wife Robyn live in Toowoomba and have six adult children.

Geoffrey is monitoring public policy issues affecting the family and engaging in dialogue with members of parliament and Christian leaders in Queensland.

 


Pastor Lance Macormic
State Officer Western Australia

 

Pastor Lance Macormic is the State Officer for FamilyVoice Australia, Western Australia.  He graduated from Lincoln Christian College with a BA in General Ministry, is an ordained pastor with the Churches of Christ, and has served at churches in the US and Australia. He is a passionate evangelist and enjoys teaching from God’s Word, in small groups and from the pulpit.

Lance and his wife Michelle were married in 1994 and reside in Perth with their four young children.

Godly views of family and government have been developing in Lance's heart and mind since he gave his life to Jesus.   He is excited to work with an organisation that strives to protect families by educating and inspiring Christians to influence government in the light of God's wisdom.

 


 Pastor Peter Stevens
State Officer
Victoria
 

 

Pastor Peter Stevens is the State Officer of FamilyVoice Australia in Victoria.  He has experience in the forestry and building industries as well as in Christian ministry and establishing a Bible College.

Peter and his wife Diane have four adult children.

Peter has a great love of Australia and a desire to help people understand God's love, righteousness, truth and purpose.

 


Mr Rob Nobel
National Administrator

 

Mr Rob Nobel is the National Administrator of FamilyVoice Australia.  He and his wife Wendy have two daughters and three grandchildren.

Rob manages the National Office, prepares budgets and financial reports, and provides administrative support to the National Executive.

He serves in his church on the board and as a singer/musician.

 

 
Miss Kirsty Young
National Office Secretary

 

Miss Kirsty Young is employed as the National Office Secretary of FamilyVoice Australia.  She was born in Bendigo, Victoria, later moving with her family to Adelaide where she attended Temple Christian College.  She later studied counselling and business administration.  Kirsty has taught Sunday School, helped organise youth camps and is involved in Bible study group.

Kirsty answers FamilyVoice Australia enquiries by phone, fax and email.  She also assists with a variety of other office tasks, including coordination of monthly mailings.

 


Miss Alyssa McKellar Project Officer

 

Miss Alyssa McKellar is employed as the Project Officer of FamilyVoice Australia. She was born and raised in Adelaide, attending Gleeson College and later studying business administration.  Alyssa has completed part of a university degree in creative writing and communication.  She has a passion for writing and travelling, and is active in her church worship and youth teams, and as a youth camp leader.

Alyssa assists with design work, the FamilyVoice website, communication documents and helping to organise FamilyVoice events.
